Armed Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking highly trained and motivated Armed Security Guards to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, protecting assets, and responding promptly to incidents. As a representative of Armor Security Services, you will uphold our high standards of service and professionalism while ensuring the safety of people and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure premises, personnel, and property safety and security.
  • Monitor and authorize entry of individuals into secured areas using access control procedures.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to security breaches, emergencies, and other incidents.
  • Provide a visible deterrent to crime by maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and report security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol reports.
  • Enforce company policies, client procedures, and applicable laws while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Operate and maintain firearms and other security equipment responsibly and in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency response teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid Armed Security Guard License (required).
    • Current firearms permit and proficiency certification.
    • CPR/AED and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
    • Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
    • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and firearms qualification test.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
